In 1993, Jim Nemeth won first prize in a national genre magazine’s short-story writing contest for which fantasy/horror novelists Ray Bradbury and Robert Bloch were judges. Winning held special meaning for Nemeth, as Robert Bloch remains his favorite writer and main literary influence. His first book, It Came From…The Stories and Novels Behind Classic Horror, Fantasy, and Science Fiction Films was published in 2020 by Midnight Marquee Press. Nemeth is also featured in the Blood Ink Fiction anthologies Bloodlust and Festival of Fear (both 2021).
