In Full Bloom

there is music in my heart
and quete in my head
members in full bloom like
the boughs of some edenic sapling

erst earthquake-struck earth

mobs may miss my meta_morphosis
for whatever fills the voids in their
skull
voicing encomiums
or venting venom

yet,
for even as I might be at
odds with man i’m at one with one
and that is all that it takes for
the war to be won!

Let Me Slow Down

let my steps
wanton like a mad bull’s
feel for the shoots
and pupae my soles
crushed and trampled over

while beating my way
my blind alley

let me slow down
and pay homage to the peaks
and the lows

let me slow down and rinse
my crimson feet

let me slow down now
having roamed this far
and bathe like a dustman
that i may reach
my clan clean

Until You Came

My heart was happy
with what space
it took within
the breadth of my chest;
until you came
inviting it to come
to the open,
Up unto aerial castles
Promising wholeheartedly
a fresher air
greener grass and
a continuous flow
of milk and honey;
And fallen for that,
it threw all the cautions
to the wind
given by the mind,
and took a leap of faith
out of its still ribcage
unto a strange field
Knowing little
that it would turn
out to be wrapped not
in the vowed cotton wool
but shady sheets of bristly feel
and let roll down the rocky slopes
of mount disillusion!

Overinflated

myriad transports
like rioting reactants
a great exertion
upon the chambers
’bout to give way
isn’t there a container
to decant them into
or waste bin
to fill with old feels
an overweighed chest
longs for unloading
lest it bursts
like overinflated balloon
into ten thousand shreds
of irreparable pieces!

Ecdysis

To bray or sing
However it sounds
To open the floodgates
Of all I’m thought to dam
To slough off
The imposed skin
Whose winding markings
Tell not of me
To bend and unbend
My tempered bones
To forge my mien
To take my shade
All the same
Whether to the clap
Of crowned smiths
Or to their
Endless scorn!
