Visiting London for the First Time
London is,
An adorable,
Jack Russell mix,
At the,
Rescue shelter,
She had,
Been put,
In a,
Remote area,
London was,
Ten-years-old,
At the time,
And people are,
Broadly speaking,
Less interested,
In adopting,
Older dogs,
I suppose that’s,
Not surprising,
Though I had never,
Really,
Thought about it.
Bringing London Home
On the day,
We got,
To take,
London home,
We got,
Some idea,
About,
Her true,
Personality,
She was calm,
And submissive,
When we,
Were visiting,
Her,
Prior to,
The adoption,
She seemed,
A bit sad,
Too,
However,
As soon as,
We entered,
The lobby,
Of the,
Rescue shelter,
On our way,
To take,
London,
To her,
New home,
That little,
Dog’s,
True personality,
Emerged,
I’ll never forget,
Her spunk,
I’ll never forget,
Her strut,
She was bouncing,
Through the lobby,
Like she owned,
The place,
That’s,
My London.
The London Notes
The London,
Who wants,
To go,
Out,
Every hour,
To smell,
Flowers
Or,
Whatever else,
The London,
Who whines,
When,
I’m on,
A Zoom,
Or phone,
Call,
Because,
She’s jealous,
The London,
Who loves,
Salty,
Human food,
Crackers,
Chips,
Cheddar squares,
Even,
Seaweed,
The London,
Who is,
Ready,
For her walk,
And so ready,
To tell me,
She’s ready,
The London,
Who barks,
Loudly,
At all,
The other,
Dogs,
The London,
Who,
Can be,
Aloof,
And distant
With people,
She doesn’t,
Know well,
The London,
Who is,
Afraid,
Of thunder,
The London,
Who sometimes,
Just wants,
To be,
Held,
The London,
Who loves,
Belly rubs,
The London,
Who trusts,
Me,
With everything,
The London,
Who has,
Been there,
When I,
Really,
Needed her,
The London,
Who has,
Changed,
The way,
I think,
About dogs,
The London,
Who,
I would,
Do anything,
For,
The London,
Who makes,
My heart,
Skip,
A beat,
The London
Who has,
Changed
My life,
You can’t,
Fit more,
Personality,
Into seventeen,
Pounds,
Of dog,
My furry,
Daughter,
I love,
Her,
So much.
